UPDATE: [10/05/2022] - OPTOMETRY MOVING TO GREEN PHASE
As of today, in conjunction with each UK Nation’s health system and government public health bodies, optometry practices move from "Amber Phase" to "Green Phase". Our teams will continue to wear face coverings when in close proximity to you and it is recommended that customers also wear face coverings, particularly in the consulting room - but it is your choice.
Online booking is now live.
Please read on to explore the measures which remain in place to ensure your safety and the safety of our teams.
Along with your eye health, we are of course still focusing on your safety when you visit us. Read on to find out more on what to expect when you next visit us.
Our doors are now unlocked
Whilst Covid was at its height, our doors were locked to prevent too many people being in-store at once. Our doors are no longer locked and you can clean your hands with the sanitiser provided at the door when you enter. It is recommended that all visitors wear a face covering but it is up to you.
Well-spaced seating areas
Any waiting areas will offer seats that are spaced well away from each other.
PPE for all staff
Our optometrists and dispensing opticians will wear Personal Protective Equipment during any close contact.
Contact-free measurements and imaging
Facial measurements can now be taken from a distance using our 3D video measurement mirror and in some instances we avoid using 'air puff' tests on your eyes (where possible). Digital retinal imaging is also now carried out during all sight exams. Read more on investments to keep you safe.
Contactless card terminals cleaned after each use
We recommend the use of contactless payments and our card payment terminals are disinfected regularly.
Regular cleaning breaks
Throughout each day the team clean the practice. Our optometrists also thoroughly clean the consulting room/equipment following each appointment.
We hope all of these measures still put you at ease, the last thing we'd want is for you to delay your routine sight examination because of safety concerns. Even more so as the lockdowns did cause many of you to become overdue for your appointments.
If you have any queries or concerns, please do contact us.
Keep safe and well.
