We first opened as Barracloughs on 11 May 2015. The store was previously known as Private Eye Opticians, the staff of which remained as part of the Barracloughs team.

You will find your Uckfield store about half way up the High Street, next door to Truffles Bakery. A large public car park can be found behind the store, which offers 3 hour or 10 hour parking for free. In 2015, we took on the customer base of Clive Hazlegrove Optometrists, following his retirement.

If you are looking for an opticians in Heathfield, Maresfield or other surrounding areas, Barracloughs in Uckfield are the ideal choice. We're the only idependent optician in town and you'll get the time and personal service you deserve. Parking is available in Luxford Field Car Park behind the store, where you can park for free for three hours, or for ten hours in the upper car park.
