Vision Aid Overseas

Restoring sight is the single most cost effective health intervention to reduce poverty, according to the World Health Organisation (WHO). Vision Aid Overseas have been helping some of the poorest people in the world to see clearly since 1985. Whether a teacher in Ghana, a seamstress in Zambia, or a school pupil in Ethiopia, poor eye sight can have a devastating impact on a persons life and livelihood.

Yesterday saw the glitzy Eastbourne Business Awards ceremony held at the Grand Hotel in Eastbourne. We were nominated in two categories on the day: Retailer of the Year and Employer of the Year. Not only were we awarded Retailer of the Year but also walked away as Overall Business of the Year!.

Today we participated in the 2016 Careers Fair at Bexhill Academy which gave almost 250 Year 11 students the opportunity to meet local business representatives to get a clearer picture of the various jobs and roles involved in many different industries.
